授業概要

(Course description)

This course teaches peer review process of technical writing. The course will evaluate manuscripts prepared by the participating students. We will review the contents, the structure, and the clarity of the manuscript. Each student will be benefit from this process both as contributor and as a reviewer.

Improve the technical writing, capabilities for creation the manuscript. Students will also benefit peer reviewing of other student’s manuscript.

(Individual learning)

Students will improve technical writing skills and learn how to avoid common writing errors.

 

授業計画

Each student must submit a manuscript for peer review process. Peer review process of all the students manuscript will take four days. We expect three sessions per day. During each session, a manuscript will be reviewed, discussed and corrected. Students will present the manuscript and evaluate the writing component of other student’s manuscript.

学習相談

(Learning construction)

The students must submit their manuscript, which they want to publish either at a conference or in a journal, in advance of this course. During an allocated session they will present their manuscript. They will learn how to improve their technical writing abilities through class discussion.
